Indications
Kills Sarcoptic mange mites and lice on pigs.

Composition
Contains Amitraz 1 % m/v.

Warnings

• DO NOT USE ON HORSES.
• Do not slaughter animals for human consumption within 7 days of last application.
• The orange colour may take up to six days to disappear. This can be used as an indicator of withdrawal period following application.
• Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and pets.
• Store away from food and feed.
• Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.

Precautions

• Avoid contact with pour-on and wash immediately and thoroughly with soap and warm water after accidental contamination.
• Remove and wash contaminated clothing.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke during or after applying before washing hands and face thoroughly.
• Tightly reseal the container if all the contents have not been used.
  Destroy empty container by perforation and flattening and NEVER re-use for any other purpose. Directions for Use: Use only as directed

TAKTIC PIG POUR-ON is a ready-to-use product and must not be mixed with any other dip, solvent or insecticidal compound.

Using a suitable applicator, apply to all animals in a group whether visually infested or not.

Animals of all ages, including pregnant and suckling sows, suckers, piglets, weaners, growers, finishers and boars may be treated.

Apply the calculated amount of TAKTIC PIG POUR-ON evenly along the backline BETWEEN THE RUMP AND THE EARS. In large boars and sows the total amount of TAKTIC PIG POUR-ON should be spread along the backline and sides to increase the spread of the remedy over the body.

The inside of the ears MUST be treated with a small amount of the calculated dose at each application. This is especially important in sows and boars.

Application Rate:
The dosage volume is calculated as half the live mass (kg) in millilitres (ml) e.g

Initial Application:
Three applications of entire herd at weekly intervals.

Follow-up and Subsequent Applications:

• Apply to sows twice at weekly intervals within the last month before farrowing.
• Apply to boars monthly, using two applications at weekly intervals.
• All introductions to the unit to be treated three times at weekly intervals whilst in quarantine.
• Cull all badly infested sows and boars.
• As TAKTIC PIG POUR-ON spreads over the surface of the pig’s skin, killing parasites in the more inaccessible areas, there is no need to scrub the pig to remove scales before application.
